EXEMPTIONS.
Articles shipped by the Government of Cyprus, or for the Army or Navy ; personal
baggage ; empty sacks, casks, or packages (not iuciuding jars or demijohns) ; straw; mats for
-innnage; bond fide stores and provisions for ships in port, in reasonable quantities ; goods for
other places in Cyprus: specie ; and small packages, not exceeding 5s. in value, accompanying
«. nassenger when embarking.
By L a w No. 22 of 1899. sec. 22 (4) stores and equipment for vesseis of war and for yachts
used solely for the purposes of pleasure shall be exempt from the paymeut of wharfage dnes.

Charges for the use of accommodation and water
payable by all persons other than passengers who may be quarantined, other than persons in
Government employ, ata rate aecordinyto accommodation required. {CS. 62713.of10th April, 1913.)
Passengers in quarantine are charged according to the following scale for the use of
available accommodation and water :—

Charges in respect of any vessel on which a medical inspection is perfoi~med.
