CUSTOM HOUSE DECLARATION.
26. The sender of each parcel for abroad will be required tofillup a Custom House Declara–
tion Form, which may be obtained at any Office where Parcel Post business is conducted. U pon
this form must be given an accurate statement of the concents and value, date of posting, and
the sender's signature and address. The number of declarations required are shewn in the
Parcel rates below.
DEUURRAGE ON FOREIGN PARCELS.
27. Parcels from Foreign Countries, if undeliverable, will be retained at a Post Office for
remaining uncalled for aC the places to which chey are addressed shall be liable after a 10 days'
detention from the date of arrival at the office of destination to a demurrage charge of lcp.
per day. N o foreign parcel will be detained at a Pose Office for a period exceeding three months.
C U S T O M S R E G U L A T I O N S .
28. Parcels on arrival here from Foreign Countries will be liable to examination by an
Officer of Customs, who will assess the amount of Customs dues to be charged thereon. The
Customs dues will be collected at the time of dehvery, and no parcel can be delivered until the
Cuscoms and all other charges are paid.
29. Parcels found to contain forbidden articles and parcels, the contencs and value of which
have been falsely declared, may be dealt with according to the laws on the subject. A n d
generally the senders of parcels, whether in Foreign Countries or Cyprus, will be required to
conform to the Customs and other laws or regulations from time to time in force in respect of
such parcels.
U N D E L I V E R E D P A R C E L S .
30. A parcel which cannot be delivered will be recained at the Post Office to which it is
addressed for a period uot exceeding three months; but if possible the sender will be consulted
through the Poseal office of origin, as to its disposal.
31. Parcels which cannoe be delivered, returned to the senders, or re-directed, and which
have thus become undeliverable, will eventually be returned to the country of origin.
32. Parcels becoming offensive or injurious to any Officer of the Post Office or other person
or to other parcels will be disposed of as the Island Postmaster may direct.
