The rent to be taken on tobacco and " tumbeki" (Persian tobacco) bonded shall be:

CUSTOMS STORE RENT, ORDINARY.
The following rates shall be paid as store rent on any article deposited, pending clearance,
in the Custom House stores or yards, or other place where they will be under Customs control:—
Per diem.
For goods not packed in any receptacle, for every 100 okes or part thereof 20 para3.
O n packages containing wines, spirits or other liquids, not exceeding 2 gallons 20 paras each.

Order of the High
Provided that no charge "oe made for thefirstthree days, exclusive of the day of landing and 'in Gazette Nof 1036 of
clearance and of Sundays and Official Holidays *, aud that goods re-exported, or removed to
mocher p o n in the Island, from the Customs stores and yards, and shown to the satisfaction
of the Chief Collector of Customs to have been landed in error be exempted from rent for two
calendar months.
Goods deposited on any Government quay for shipment may there remain six clear days
before becoming liable to the payment of Customs store rent.
Goods consigned to the Government Railway for transport to a point beyond Famagusta
m a y remain, after all Customs dues have been paid and Customs formalities complied with, in
the Customs premises, stores, yards and other places under Customs control at Famagusta free of
store rent for ten days from the day following the landing excluding Sundays and Official Holidays.
Goods sent in bond to Nicosia are allowed one clear day rent free for the time occupied in
transport of the goods by rail.
All goods, not put in bond, which have been landed and deposited iu che Cuscoms score ac
any port in Cyprus and declared at the time of landing to l*-: destined for any for.'i*zn port or for
other ports in Cyprus and which are eventually removed to such port or ports, shall for any
period not exceeding one calendar month be liable to the Bonded Warehouse Rent charges, and
after the expiration of that period the ordinary store rents shall be charged for such goods.
EXEMPTIONS.
All stores imported for the Imperial or Island Governments provided all such stores are removed
from the Customs stores and yards without delay. Delays in clearance should be reported by the
Principal Officer of Customs to the proper authorities Military or Civil.
