The Maronites are under the authority of an Archbishop residing in Syria; the Roman Catholics and Armenian
Catholics under the Latin Patriarch of .Jerusalem.
The Sisters of the French Order of St. Joseph of the Apparition have a Convent, School, and dispensary at Larnaca.
and Convents aud Schools at Nicosia and at Limassoi.
The Friars of che Franciscan Order have a Convent two Churches and a School at Larnaca, and Convent with Schools
attached at Nicosia and Limassoi. They depend ou the " Custodia " of Terra Santa.
The Maronites have eight Churches and four Monasteries in the Island.
The Armenians have a Church, Surp Asdvadzadzin. ac Nicosia, and a Monastery, Surp Magar, and Chapel in the
Kyrenia District.
There are three Anglican Churches, those of St. Paul at Nicosia, St. Helen at Larnaca, and one at Limassoi. There
are dedicated Church Rooms at Famagusta, Kyrenia, and Troodos.

1. Ottoman Ecclesiastical the Hejira, 1335 begins 20th October, 1916.
2. Ottoman Financial, 1332 begins 14th March. 1916.
3. Julian or "Old Style," 1916 begins 14th January. 1916.
4. Armenian Ecclesiastical, 1366 begins 24th August, 1916.
5. Armenian National, 4410 begins 19th August, 1916.
