LICENSE DUTIES FOR STILLS.
In respect of every still (o) ... ... £5 to £10 per annum according to capacity
LICENSE DUTIES PAYABLE LN RESPECT OF THE SALE
OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS BY RETAIL.
For every hotel, any premises occupied by any club, restaurant or other place used for the "
bale of intoxicating liquors by retail, an annual percentage ou the rental or yearly value of the
premises so used after the rate of 50 per cent, but so that the license duty for an hotel shall uot
exceed £10 per annum, or for a club-house £ 5 per annum, and so that the license duty for any
other premises so used shall not exceed the sum £ 2 0 per annum, and so that the lowest aimual
rate of duty chargeable shall be for premises in auy of the towns of Nicosia, Larnaca, Famagusta
(including Varoshia), Kyrenia, Ktima and Limassol £ 4 per annum, and for premises in any other
place £l 108. per annum.
For selling by retail in any tent or booth or in the open air -
2s. per day.
EXPORT DUTIES.
U p o n all Wine exported from the Island a duty at the rate of 8 paras per (liquid) gallon.

All such Royalties shall be assessed and collected by the Customs Authorities at the Port of
shipment. The Customs Authorities are hereby empowered in the event of the value of any
mineral being in their opinion insufficiently or incon-ectly declared to demand aud take in respect
of the said mineral the above Royalty or any part thereof in kind instead of iu cash.

The following charges are payable to the Customs Treasury of the District of Larnaca by
any person storing any explosive substance in the Government Store at Larnaca:—
1 copper piastre per month, or part thereof for every keg or case containing not more
than 10 okes of explosive substance.
2 copper piastres per mouth, or part thereof for every keg or case containing more than
10 okes.
In the case of storage rate of any explosive substance remaining unpaid for 6 months, the
Chief Collector of Customs may sell a sufficient quantity to cover the arrears of the storage rate.
The Board of Evkaf is entitled to store explosive substances in the Government Store
without the payment of any rate.

For wreck taken by the Receiver into his custody a commission of five pounds per hundred
pounds on the value thereof, but so that the whole amount of percentage shall not exceed the
sum of twenty pounds in any case.
