The Eye Hospital \v;w built by sub–
scription to commemorate the Jubilee
of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria ;
it is under the administration of the
Government.
Supported from Municipal Funds.
The Hospital was founded and is sup–
ported by voluntary effort, and aided
by Govt, contribution of £100 a year,
medical attendance, drugs, &c. The
Municipality gives an annual sub–
scription of £12.
The Hospital is managed by a Committee
on which the Commissioner and District
Medical Officer have seats. The services
of the District Medical Officer and of a
Compounder, together with medicines,
are supplied gratis by the Government
and the Hospital receives a grant of
£ 100 a year from Government.
