Articles shirked by the High Commissioner, by the Government of Cyprus, or for the
A r m y or Xavy. Personal Baggage. Empty Sacks. Casks or Packages (not including Jars or
Demifihns). Straw: 31ats for dunnage, bona nd" Scores and provisions for ships in port in
reaso-cable ''juantities. Specie. Cereals, unenumerated Fresh Fruit and Vegetables. Raisins. Beans
and Peas. Cheese. Cotton. Cotton seed aud Cotton goods. Gypsum. Terra Umbra. Vinegar. Wines
and Spirits.
By section 9 of Law 17 of 1901, stores and equipment for vessels of war and for yachts used
solely for purposes of pleasure are exempt from the payment of Port Charges.
The foregoing charges may be compounded, in the case of Sailing Vessels ouly. by payment
in adv*ance of Is. per ton register, for every half year. /'.•?.. any period between 1st January and
SOth June or between lst July and 31st Decern ber.
