AND EXPORTS.

(7). The importation of hides und skins is restricted to the port of Larnaca (except in
cases where special permission under tho huud of the Chief Medical Officer has been
obtained to import them at some ocher plncu) and snch importation shall, in all cases,
be subject to the regulations in chat behalf for the time being in force uuder L a w 4 of

(8)^ The importation of rags and old clothing into any port or place of the Island of
Cyprus, other than Larnaca. is prohibited, and such importation is liable to be
proiiibited in any case in which the Chief Medical Officer or any Officer acting for or
delegaced by him certifies that the imporcation of rags or old clothing is likely to be
injurious to the public health.
The importation into the Islaud of old or used clothes for the purposes of sale or
commerce is absolutely prohibited.
The importation of saccharine is prohibited except iu small quantities not exceeding 2lbs.
and then only with the permission of the Chief Medical Officer previously obtained in writing.
AUTHORITY.
The importation of indecent or obscene prints, printings, photographs, book3, cards, litho–
graphic or other engravings, or any ocher iudecent or obscene articles is prohibited.

Staves which have been used for vine "props or
similar purposes.
All binding which has been used for vines or other
plants.
Earth and gravel, leaf and garden mould.
All animal and vegetable manures, except guano,
bone dust and other fossil or chemically orecared
manures.
H a y and straw, compressed or otherwise (excepc
chac used as packing for goods.)
Grass, leaves or other vegetable matter.

Xote.—Includes game iu any form, pickled or otherwise. A reasonable quantity of
provisions for ships in port may, however, be allowed.

The High Commissioner may prohibit exportation, or the carriage of the coastwise, in
order to prevent their being used againsc His Majesty's subjects or forces, or against any
forces engaged or which may be engaged iu co-operation with His Majesty's forces.
