For an order in " Bi Vedjhi-Sheri " cases (»"*., cases which the claim is rejected as bad at
law), 2-V per cent, of amount claimed if not exceeding 20,000 piastres ; and in claims exceeding
that sum, 2^ per cent, for tbefirsc20,000 piascres and 1 per cent, on the remainder.
For an order in " Bila-Beyin-i-Sherieh" cases (i.e., cases in which the claim is rejected
on failure to produce evidence), 1 per ceut. on amount claimed up to 20,000 piastres, and in
cases where the amount claimed exceeds 20,000, 1 per ceut. on thefirst20,000 piastres and
4 per cenc. ou the remainder.
In cases settled out of Court, for a Sened given on application of plaintiff, 2\ per cent.
upon the amount for which the case is so setcied, but on application of defendant for a Sened,
-.\ per ceut. on the difference between the amount claimed and that settled upon up to 20,000
piascres, and one per cent, on the sum in excess of 20,000 piastres.
O n settlement of marriage contract, 2\ per cent, on the amount of the Mouadjel and
Mouedjel.
Ilams for divorce, 2 J per cent." on the sums mentioned in the marriage contract.
Hodjets appointing represencatives of lunatics, lost persons and old people in dotage,
5 to 30 piascres at discretion of Cadi.
Hodjecs respecting the release, gift or acknowledgment of property, 2 per cent, on the
value of the property in question.
H a m s aud orders regarding inheritance, 1} per cent, on value ofthe inhericance.
Order appointing Vekil iu the matter of real property, 3s.
For wills drawn up before the Sheri Courc, 20 per 1,000 on amount mentioned in will.
For Hodjets proving the will, after deduccion of one-chird of the succession received by
execucor, 2t per cent, on the remainder, but if the third has been disposed of, 40 piastres only
is taken.
O u sales, 20 per 1,000 on value ; on declarations of mortgage, etc., 10 per 1,000 on value.
Hodjets for division of real property, Vakouf, Mulk or Arazi 15 per 1,000 on value of same.
Hodjets for sale or disposal of property of insane people and minors, 15 per 1000 on
value.
O n Vakfieh prepared in the Sheri Court, 2k per ceut. on the value of the object made
Vakouf up to 20,000 piastres ; beyond this sum £ per cent.; one-third of the fee so taken will
belong to Clerk aud Registrar.
For Ilams changing Vakoufs from Idjare-i-Vahide to Idjaretein, 2* per cent, on the
Mouadjele. A u d for exchanging Vaqf property with Mulk, 2k per cent.
For H a m s for the appointment of Muderris. Sheik, I m a m , Khatib, Mouezzin, Devri-
K h a n and such like offices, from 25 to 200 piastres, discretionary wich Cadi.
For Ilams of appointment as Mutavelli, Zaviedar, Mezraadar, Malikhaae and such like
appointmencs, a fee not exceeding 25 per cent, of che yearly personal profit by the appointment.
For documents containing informacion respecting appointments, etc., an office fee
(Kalemie) noe exceeding 50 piastres.
For an extract or a copy of an Ilam, Hodjec, Vakfieh, or other document, where the

does not exceed 130 words Is. and for every addicionai 100 words or part thereof 4 Jcp.
For making an inventory of the estate of a deceased Moslem who has died Ieavin°- heirs
under disabilicy 2k per cent, upon the nett valne of the immoveable property which forms the
share of each heir under disability

O n examination and revision of the accounts of estates of minors, every three vears or at
longer intervals, if a surplus has accrued, 25 per 1.000 on che surplus after the deduccion of all
expenses. If che examination is made after one year, one-chird of the fee and cwo-ehirds if che
examination is made afcer two years. If there is no surplus then a fee is taken as * Kalemie "
