for each prisoner during the hours of sleep?

The Central Prison. Nicosia, is ou the
separate system, but prisoners are in associa–
tion in the work shops.
In the Districc Prisons each prisoner is
kept in a separate cell when there is room
sufficient to allow of this.
By "Warders and Sentries constantly patrol–
ling the corridors and passages and inspecting
the wards aud cells where prisoners areconfined.

District prisons are constructed either of iron
bars, or thick wooden bars, thereby affording
a plentiful supply of fresh air.
