The Maronites are nnder the authority of an Archbishop residing in Syria;
Catholics nnder the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The Sisters of the French Order of St. Joseph of the Apparition have a Convent, School, and dispensary at Larnaca,
and Convents and Schools at Xicosia and at Limassoi.
The Monks of the Franciscan Order have a Monastery, two Churches and a School at Larnaca, and Monasteries with
Schools attached at Xicosia and Limassoi. They depend on the " Custodia" of Terra Santa.
The Maronites have eight Churches and four Monasteries in the Island.
The Armenians have a Church at Xicosia, and a Monastery and Chapel in tbe Kyrenia District.
There are two Church of England Churches, these of St. Paul at Xicosia and St. Helen at Larnaca. There is also a
dedicated Church Room at Famaensta.
