The Maronites are under the authority of an Archbishop residing in Syria; the Roman Catholics and Armenian
Catholics under the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The Sisters of the Freuch Order of St. Joseph of the Apparition hare a Convent, School, and dispensary at Larnaca,
and Convents and Schools at Nicosia and at Limassoi.
The Monks of the Franciscan Order have a Monastery, two Churches and a School at Larnaca, and Monasteries with
Schools attached at Nicosia and Limassoi. They depend on the " Custodia " of Terra Santa.
The Maronites have eight Churches and four Monasteries in the Island.
The Armenians have a Chnrch at Nicosia, and a Monastery and Chapel in the Kyrenia District.
There is one Chnrch of England Church, that of St. Paul at Nicosia.
