LOCUST TAX.

A.—For and in respect of all titheable. produce one per cent, on the value of such produce
over aud above the ordinary tithe («).
B . — F o r and in respect of all houses, shops and other buildings yearly the following sums,
that is to say : —
(a). For houses,

estimated annual value (verghi irad), one per ceut. of such estimated annual value.
D . — F o r and in respect of every annuity, pension or stipend payable out of the public revenue
of this Island, yearly, one per cent, on all incomes derived from any of these sources,
amounting to £200 a year or more.

(a). O n caroubs exported the charge is 30 paras per cantar, -whether ground or entire or
mixed with any other substance.
