The Central Prison, Nicosia, is on the
separare system, but prisoners are in associa–
tion in the work shops.
In the District Prisons each prisoner is
kept in a separate cell when there is room
sufficient to allow of this.

The doors of the cells and wards oi" the
District prisons are constructed either of iron
bars, or thick wooden bars, thereby affording
a plentiful supply of fresh air.
