BEDEL ASKERI.
(MILITARY EXEMPTION TAX.)
Two shillings and four and a half copper piastres per head for all male inhabitants of
the Island, not being foreigners, of not less thau IS years or more than GO years of age.
EXEMPTION'S.
Priests of all religious denominations ; all persons who are exempt from Military Service
by Turkish law either by personal service or by payment made before the passing of Ordinance
So. V. of 1S78 ; all persons mentally or physically incapacitated from Military Service;
and all persons in the Military or Civil employment of the Government of the Island.
