General Election.
Every male person
being either an Ottoman
or a Britisii subject, or
having resided in the
Island not less than five
years, w h o has attained
the age of 21 years and
w h o is a payer of any
class of the taxes called
Verghi, and has, on or
before the day appointed
for the making of the
Voters' Lists in any year
paid in respect of any Elec–
toral District all Verghis
payable by him tip to
the 13th day of January
('•' n e w style ") previous,
is entitled to be registered
as a voter, and. when so
registered, to vote at the
election of M e m b e r s for
such District. Every
Elector m a y vote for as
m a n y candidates in his
District as there are M e m –
bers to be elected for
w h o m he i.s entitled to
vote : he m a y only give
one vote to any candidate,
but he need not vote for
the full, number to be
elected
