Sinye the construction of the road from Larnaca to Mari River via
Kopliinuu this road ha* been abandoned. Causeway near Larnaca repaired
during 1806-1807 and road fonncd from Ziyi to Mari Bridge in 1900-1001,
and li.-tli maintained up to present, date.
Practicable for wheeled traffic only in fine weather ; 5 miles included in
Central Mesaoria Road, remainder of the road now abandoned
Fair Carriage Road. This road, now known as the Larnaca-Lefkonico
Road, commences at Lamaca and passes by J M a and Kondea across
the plain of the Mesaoria to Prastio and terminates tit Lefkonico It
is now the priwipal route from Lamaca lo Famagusta as it joins the
Nicosia-Famagusta Road below Kondea, which proceeds via Kukiia
to Famagusta
