EXEMPT :—
Articles shipped by the High Commissioner, by the Government of Cyprus, or for
the Army or Xavy, Personal Baggage, Empty Sacks. Casks or Packag-rs (not including
Jars or Demijohus), Straw Mats for dunnage, bona fide Stores and provisions for ships
in port in reasonable quantities, Specie, Cereals, unenumerated Fresh Fruit and
Vegetables. Raisins, Beans and Peas, Cheese, Cottou, Cotton seed aad Cotton goods,
Gy

:sum, Terra Lmbra, Vinegar, Wiues and Spirits.
By section 9 of "The Port Charge* L a w . 1901." stores and equipment for vessels
t<\ war aud for yachts used solely for purposes of pleasure are exempt from the pavmeut
i>f Port Charges.
The foregoing charges m a y be compounded, in the case of Sailing Vessels only, bv
payment in advance of ls. per ton register, for every half year, i.e., any period between
1st January and 30th June or between lst July and 31st December.
In respect of the Steamer subsidized for the Coasting Trade the above rates do not
apply.
