BEDEL ASKERI.
(Militatw Exemption Tax.)
T w o shillings and four and a half copper piastres per head for all male inhabitants
of the Island, not being foreigners, of uot less thau IS year3 or more than GO years
of age.
E.TEIIPTIOXS :—
Priest3 of all religious denominations ; all persons who are exempt from Military
Service by Turkish lav,- either by personal service or by payment made before the passing
of Ordinance No. V. of 1878 ; all persons mentally or physically incapacitated from
Military Service; and all persons in the Military or Civil employment of the Government
of the Island.
