Police and General Hospital
I. The quantity of water is unlimited.
The source is a well dug in the Hospital ground.

III. Closet system, cleaned several times daily; no proper
drains on premises but the refuse water is curried
away as often as required.
Tlie Hospital is at present (owing to the epidemic
of sinall-pox) administered in-a small part of the
Quarantine Buildings.

I. The quantity of water is practically unlimited.
.'• The source is the town aqueduct, but all water used
has to \>e carried by doukey there being no supply at
the Hospital.
Quality is indifferent.
Jl. There are no aiu'au^enients as to baths and lavatories.
One small tin bath and one full sized bath are used
when required.
III. There is ho system of sewerage. The dry earth system
is used in tlie privies. Dirty water, &e., is thrown out
on the open space at some distance from the hospital.
